Held as part of the Land Forces International Land Defence Exposition, the Innovation Showcase including the Innovation Pitchfest and Awards provides a national platform for both research projects and commercial innovations. It is an opportunity to present leading-edge ideas to an audience of potential partners, investors and customers, while competing for significant cash prizes.

Held as part of the Land Forces International Land Defence Exposition, the Innovation Showcase including the Innovation Pitchfest and Awards provides a national platform for both research projects and commercial innovations. It is an opportunity to present leading-edge ideas to an audience of potential partners, investors and customers, while competing for significant cash prizes.
Finalists will be selected through a formal judging process and invited to present their innovation live at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre during Land Forces 2026. Category winners will be announced onsite during the event.
Finalist scores are determined 90 per cent by an expert judging panel during the submission phase, with the remaining 10 per cent decided live by the Pitch Panel at the event. This structure ensures strong technical and commercial merit, while also rewarding the ability to clearly articulate value to market.
Prize categories include three major awards, with each winner receiving $30,000 in cash. The Blue-Sky Thinking Innovation Award winner will receive $10,000 to contribute to further personal and innovation development. All winners will also receive a trophy.
