The Department of Defence looks forward to hosting the inaugural Australian AUKUS Advanced Capabilities Dialogue on 26 June 2024 in Canberra.

The Dialogue will provide Australian organisations with more detail on AUKUS Advanced Capabilities (Pillar II), progress to date and information on where future opportunities may be available.

Following the release of the 2024 National Defence Strategy (NDS), the Integrated Investment Program (IIP) and the Defence Industry Development Strategy (DIDS) by the Government, Navy will use this Maritime Domain Industry Forum to provide industry more detail on the maritime domain priorities in the rebuilt IIP.

The aim is for industry to gain a better understanding of the IIP changes and information on when and where future industry opportunities may be available. Admiral Stephen Hughes, Head Navy Capability, aims to give industry sufficient time and notice on Navy needs to enable it to lean in, invest and deliver accelerated Defence capabilities.
